Glossary: HB = House Bill | SB = Senate Bill | HJR = House joint resolution
NO PROPERTY TAXES
Why Eliminate Property Tax?
– Because Private Property Ownership is central to a free society.
– Because Property taxed is not owned at all.
– Because no tax should have the power to leave you homeless.
Property Taxes affect both homeowners and renters. The ongoing rise in property taxes impacts not just mortgage payments, but also rental prices, causing both to continuously increase.
Support HB960 - The Texas Tax Reform Act of 2025: An act relating to the repeal of or limitations on certain state and local taxes, including school district maintenance and operations ad valorem taxes, the enactment of state and local value-added taxes, and related school finance reform; imposing taxes.
ESA/VOUCHER SCHOOL CHOICE IS NOT CONSERVATIVE
Universal School Choice is a Legislative Priority this session, when it shouldn't, as it only benefits a very small percentage of Texas Public School students, and doesn't contribute to fixing the issues with Public Education.
IS SCHOOL CHOICE THE BEST WAY TO FIX TEXAS EDUCATION?
NO, ITS NOT. Governor Abbott and the Texas Legislature, who are strongly advocating for School Choice, are the only ones with the authority to fix the public school system. With Republicans holding a majority in the Texas Legislature, they could make improvements to public education if they chose to.
Our Republican leaders are failing in their Constitutional duties by not maintaining an efficient public education system, as required by Article 7 of the Texas Constitution.
THE TEXAS CONSTITUTION - ARTICLE 7. EDUCATION - THE PUBLIC FREE SCHOOLS
Sec. 1. SUPPORT AND MAINTENANCE OF SYSTEM OF PUBLIC FREE SCHOOLS. A general diffusion of knowledge being essential to the preservation of the liberties and rights of the people, it shall be the duty of the Legislature of the State to establish and make suitable provision for the support and maintenance of an efficient system of public free schools.
Instead of creating a third avenue of education after failing to maintain an effective public school system, they should focus on fixing what they've broken. Expanding their reach into new areas is not the solution, especially after failing to perform their duties in the first place.
BORDER ENFORCEMENT
Now that President Trump is back in office and is upholding the law, which never allowed anyone coming from the Southern Border to be considered for asylum or refugee status, there is no new Government entity or Department that Texas needs to create. These attempts by Abbott are just a way to increase spending and expand the Government.
Abbott spent over 11 Billion dollars during the Biden administration under "Lone Star" and achieved nothing but "photo-ops" to give the perception that he was doing something, aiding illegals into the country and bussing them throughout the USA.
Say NO to any Border related bill coming from the Texas Legislature.
Instead, focus on bills that would aid President Trump's administration in their ongoing deportation efforts and cutting Tax Payer dollars spending on aid to illegals.
SECURE TEXAS ELECTIONS
Election fraud is a concern in Texas, regardless of whether elected officials acknowledge it. Several factors contribute to this issue, including inflated voter rolls, which occur when deceased individuals and those who have moved out of the state or county are not removed. Additionally, non-U.S. citizens may be able to register and vote, further compromising the integrity of elections. There are also reports of ballots being counted twice or mail-in ballots being misused to influence outcomes, largely due to the gap between early voting and election day.
Furthermore, the county-wide voting system exacerbates these problems. Research has shown that this system can lead to lower voter turnout, affecting both Republican and Democratic voters. It also hinders the ability of citizens to audit election results, as crucial data can be obscured or masked, preventing a transparent review process. This lack of transparency makes it harder to ensure the accuracy of election results and increases the potential for fraud.
Counties with county-wide voting systems saw voter turnout drop by as much as 30% in certain areas, underscoring the system’s limitations and its negative impact on participation. This underscores the need for electoral reforms to address both fraud and voter engagement issues.
